Rubber Bands On EVERY Tooth

For the second-to-last week of braces hell, I’m supposed to wear rubber bands hooked onto every tooth, thus closing my jaw together.
This helps top and bottom teeth to ’seat’ together perfectly.
Though VERY inconvenient, ugly, and painful, I noticed an improvement in the fit of my teeth by the very next day!
Isn’t it crazy how fast teeth move? So how are you eating?
It’s crazy how fast they move when the roots are basically soft sponges!
My orthodontist said it might take up to 8 months for the teeth to go ’solid’ again…
I remove them when I eat, but it does take some time to put them back on. This has eliminated my casual snacking (but not my meals!!).
Talking is the worst, because that happens all ’round the clock.

You’re very brave to go through with the jaw surgery. My orthodontist has been trying to convince me to get the surgery simply because my teeth don’t touch. I’m worried though, I don’t want the surgery to make my face look any different.
omg i got jaw sergery and it aint dat bad cuz u num u up or put u asleep and wen ihts all ova its just mild pain..so yea nuin to worry bout!!=]
