COUNTDOWN! Braces off in 2 weeks (fingers crossed…)

My wires will be cut up into smaller sections (the process is called “wire sectioning”), and I’ll need to start wearing lots of vertical rubber bands, a la that guy in The Silence of the Lambs.
I’ll look extra scary for one or two weeks (I’m negotiating for one, don’t worry). Then…
BRACES OFF!
Yes, for all of you with braces who are wondering what the end will be like, it’s the flow described above.
1. Braces on for a painfully long, arduous time - many, many sessions.
2. Wire sectioning - one session.
3. BRACES OFF!! - one session.
4. Retainer pick-up - one session.
Notice that BRACES OFF!! is not the last visit to the ortho in the immediate term. I will actually have to return for the retainer pick-up, but WHO CARES?? My braces will be off, and I will be busy throwing myself a BRACES OFF!! party (which you are invited to if you’re in San Francisco :).
yay for debracing! Not sure… why but I am not getting the wire sectioning. My ortho appointment is for taking the braces off and making the moulds in the morning. Then in the arvo, I can go and pick up the braces.
My roommate is getting her braces off too-any fun ideas or products you bought for your ur party?
